Kommo Results
Challenge
Kommo.com’s search engine presence was weak, especially for keywords that mattered most to their business. As a result, potential clients often struggled to find the website when searching for solutions Kommo offered.
The goal was to make the client’s website more discoverable and increase engagement from potential clients.
Strategy
We launched a strategic link building campaign in September, focusing on:
- Targeting high-intent, service-related keywords aligned with Kommo’s core offerings
- Building backlinks from authoritative, SaaS websites
- Building links consistently to support steady ranking growth
- Prioritizing quality over quantity to ensure long-term SEO impact
Let’s take a closer look at the impact of this strategy.
Results
Here’s what results Kommo achieved with SaaS backlinks.
Ranking Improvements
Several keywords saw meaningful position gains during the link building campaign, which helped Kommo capture more visibility and reach users actively searching for messaging automation solutions.
Here’s a breakdown of how each keyword progressed.
| Keyword | Before | After | Change |
| broadcast whatsapp | x | 4 | New |
| automated instagram messages | 25 | 9 | ↑ 16 |
| instagram comment automation | 8 | 5 | ↑ 3 |
| whatsapp automation | 7 | 3 | ↑ 4 |
| instagram dm automation | 15 | 5 | ↑ 10 |
So, what drove the movement? We built 19 backlinks for these five keywords, in total. This strategy allowed us to produce consistent results across a few search terms at the same time.
For example, with just three non-shitty backlinks, it was possible to move the “broadcast whatsapp” keyword from completely unranked to 4th position.
The “automated instagram messages” keyword followed the same pattern. With just four backlinks, it jumped 16 positions, from 25th to the 9th.
These results prove that even a few valuable backlinks from credible sources can produce results fast.

Growth in DR & Organic Traffic
SEO metrics like domain rating and organic traffic have also improved, thanks to these factors.
- Non-shitty SaaS backlinks provided by the SayNine team
- Website technical health maintenance and consistent content creation by the Kommo team
Below are the outcomes of our 6-month collaboration:
- Domain Rating increased from 81 to 83
- Organic traffic grew from 438,209 to 450,087

The results go beyond just numbers. Here’s what the Kommo team shared about their experience.

Boost in AI Visibility
Kommo.com saw notable growth on AI-driven search platforms, too.
- AI overview (Google) – 1,911 total citations, 297 pages. Both numbers are up, +204 citations and +37 pages.
- ChatGPT – 175 citations on 186 pages. Citations and pages have decreased (down 22 and 9, respectively).
- Perplexity – 266 citations on 140 pages, both slightly up (+8).
- Gemini – 75 citations on 170 pages. Citations down (-7) but pages up (+21).
- Copilot – 83 citations on 27 pages, both slightly increased (+6 citations, +7 pages).
The data reflects Kommo’s increasing recognition and reliability on both Google and AI search platforms.

- Average Traffic of domains from where we built backlinks for the client: 17,665

The Takeaway
The biggest lesson from this 6-month link building campaign: a small number of the right backlinks consistently outperforms a large number of weak ones.
With 19 links across five keywords and 81 total from relevant SaaS domains, Kommo went from struggling to rank to sitting in the top 5 for most of their key search terms. The quality of each link mattered far more than the volume.
